This 12" 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' figure is fully articulated and comprised of a film-accurate monster portrait, solid PVC hands, feet, and a rubber wet-suit. The construction of the wet-suit is nearly identical to the original film costume, with separate upper and lower portions. The body section wet-suit covers almost all visible joint lines and stretches to allow for a strong range of posing options. The Creature will also include a fossilized 'Creature' hand in 1/6th scale, as well as a support base with 'The Creature from the Black Lagoon' film logo. Produced by Sideshow Collectibles and long out of production.

Toy Fair 2008 - Last Day ... Niteman Speaks

Well, it's the last day at Toy Fair 2008. Today Sideshow announces their newest license - 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army.' To celebrate they will be releasing a new metal prop replica of The Samaritan, which is Hellboy's famous pistol. Sideshow's exclusive edition of this piece will feature a set of four clear-tipped tracer rounds, featuring green, battery powered LED lights.

Also on today's list for pre-order release is The Iron Man Life-Size [1:1 Scale] Bust. The bust is cast in high-quality fiberglass, taken directly from the molds used to create the film costume, hand-finished and hand-painted, and features LED glowing eyes.

Let's take a look at both:

For those of you who missed reading the blog yesterday, the 12 inch Indiana Jones Exclusive Edition figure was completely sold out in record time. However if you are a fan of Harrison Ford & Raiders of the Lost Ark, you may be interested to know that you can still pre-order the regular version of Indy from Sideshow's Web site. You still basically get all the goodies but not the torch or dart accessories. This figure will be one of the first figures to feature the new Sideshow 12 inch figure body.

Toy Fair 2008 Continues.....Niteman Speaks

It's Tuesday at Toy Fair 2008! I wish I could be there, but work is keeping me pretty busy. So pulling out my credit card and spending money with Sideshow as they make their new announcements will have to suffice.

Sideshow is calling today 'Adventure Tuesday' as they begin taking pre-orders for the Sideshow Exclusive Editions of both the Indiana Jones 12 inch figure from Raiders of the Lost Ark, and their first Jurassic Park diorama 'When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth' - T-Rex VS Velociraptors.

Let's take a look at both:

Indy has already become the most popular pre-order collectible on Sideshow's Web site in less than a day. And you can see why...the Harrison Ford likeness is uncanny and the number of extras you get is just awesome. And of course you get Sideshow's male body with 30+ points of articulation so you can put Indy in just about any pose that you can think of. Those lucky enough to pick up on the Exclusive Edition will get two bonus accessories available nowhere else: a torch and dart.

UPDATE [3:30PM CST] - Indiana Jones Sideshow Exclusive Edition has SOLD OUT! However, the regular edition is still available for pre-order.

Above is a sneek peek at Sideshow's 1st entry in their new line of Indiana Jones Collectibles. Yes, it's Indy himself as a 12 inch collectible. And looking pretty good I must say. This one is a keeper and a definite pre-order sellout.

This figure is being unveiled at the opening of Toy Fair 2008 next week, but you are among the first to get a glimpse of what this awesome collectible looks like.

Stay with me and I'll soon let you know when the pre-orders begin.
